Description

Del-Val 411 Fibered Foundation Emulsion is an asphalt-based, clay emulsion with fibers specifically formulated to offer a tight film that combines both excellent strength and resistance to water. Del-Val 411 Fibered Foundation Emulsion is manufactured from refined asphalts, reinforcing non-asbestos fibers and clays. Del-Val 411 has a brown appearance when wet but will dry to a near black color. Asphalt emulsions are very low odor alternatives to solvent-based coatings. Del-Val 411 applied directly from the container is corrosion-resistant and waterproof when dry. Del-Val 411 is reinforced with short fibers for application by brush, roller or spray.

Uses

Del-Val 411 Fibered Foundation Emulsion is ideal for reducing dampness and moisture infiltration through foundation walls, parapets, firewalls, tanks, culverts, cisterns and bridge abutments. Del-Val 411 is applicable for above-grade cavity wall applications and below-grade masonry wall damp proofing and helps to minimize internal structural damage from mildew and mold. Suitable for “green” or slightly damp surfaces.

Preparation

All surfaces must be clean and free of any oil, grease, dirt and all other foreign matter. Must stir coating before using.

Application

Can be applied using: brush, roller or heavy duty spray equipment. Allow 24 hours drying time before backfilling against the foundation walls. Do not apply over wet / damp or frost covered surfaces. For best results weather should be clear with no threat of rain for 48 hours.
